Titleblock and Drawing Scales

4. Titleblock & Drawing Scales

All submitted CAD drawings for ATL capital projects must use the official ATL titleblock template and follow standardized drawing scales. These requirements ensure professional presentation and allow for consistent interpretation across design teams, reviewers, and contractors.

Titleblock Requirements

Consultants must use the most recent version of the ATL-provided titleblock, which includes:

  • ATL logo and seal
  • Project name and number
  • Drawing title and number
  • Discipline identifier
  • Revision box and issue history
  • Consultant and subconsultant information

The titleblock must be placed in **paper space**, and positioned consistently across all sheets within a project set.

Sheet Sizes

The following sheet sizes are approved for ATL projects:

  • ARCH D: 24” x 36” (preferred for most submissions)
  • ARCH E1: 30” x 42” (for complex drawings only)

Drawing Scale Standards

All drawings must be plotted at 1:1 scale in paper space. Model space content should be drawn full-scale (1:1) and displayed using appropriate viewports and annotation scales.

Drawing TypeTypical Scales
Site Plans1” = 20’, 1” = 40’
Floor Plans1/8” = 1’-0”, 1/4” = 1’-0”
Details1/2” = 1’-0”, 1” = 1’-0”

Digital Deliverables

Each drawing submitted must be digitally plotted to PDF using ATL’s naming and layer conventions. Fonts and lineweights must remain legible at intended plot scales. Do not embed raster images at resolutions below 300 DPI.

Sheet Index and Drawing Lists

Drawing sets must include a sheet index placed near the beginning of the set (typically Sheet G-001) listing all sheets in order, grouped by discipline.
